Welcome, new teachers!

As fall semester chugs along, the teachers and faculty are the ones who keep the world turning for so many school-going kids and teenagers. Elaine gave a special shout-out to all the teachers who genuinely have great love and concern for their students.

We are lucky to have devoted teachers along The Byway, both new and old, and we would like to shout out by name some of those now joining the schools. Following are all the new teachers, including two principals, this year along the Byway:

Bryce Valley Elementary School

Kylie Mortensen – preschool

Jamie Pollock – kindergarten

Audrey Langston – 4th grade

Stephanie Miller – 6th grade

Bryce Valley High School

Roman Platt – math

Nick Pollock – business

Van Cluff – special education

Andy Carlsen – principal

Panguitch High School

Jeff Owens – math

Brad Tanner – student support

Escalante High School

Lori Phillips – science

Ryan Bytheway – principal

Loa Elementary School

Sharon Burningham – 2nd grade

Vanessa Peterson – 5th and 6th social studies

Circleville Elementary School

Julie Mayo – secretary

Most schools, including those not mentioned above, also have a number of new staff, such as paraprofessionals, custodians, cafeteria workers, coaches and others. We would like to extend a warm welcome to each of them as well.

The schools would not be what they are without everyone who is there to help them run. Thank you, and welcome all!
