The 1A state speech and debate tournaments took place at USU Eastern in Price on March 15-16, 2024. Panguitch took first place and Bryce Valley took second.
Bryce Valley had previously won first place at region debate on March 7-8 at BVHS, but they were unable to hold their victory over Panguitch at state. Panguitch came home with the state trophy for the first time since 2019.
