Jaime Catlett—Vote for Your Favorite Teacher

Escalante Elementary kindergarten teacher Jaime Catlett has been nominated as one of America’s favorite teachers.

America’s Favorite Teacher, an organization which operates under nonprofit DTCare, chooses a favorite teacher in a competition where the winning teacher is selected by public votes. As of press time, Ms. Catlett was ranked in 5th place. Family, friends and fans can vote for her on her profile and can vote once per day until the first round of voting closes on April 4.

The Byway has featured Ms. Catlett before. In April, 2021, one of our junior writers, 14-year-old Madi White, chose to write an article about her kindergarten teacher—Jaime Catlett. Catlett taught Madi in St. George, and only later did both Madi and Ms. Catlett find themselves once again living in the same town.

Ms. Catlett has been teaching for 20 years, most of which have been in the kindergarten.
