The cast of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown gathered around "The little redheaded girl"

‘You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown’ at Panguitch

With Halloween over and done with, the following week has brought us snow and Panguitch High school’s annual fall play. This year the production was: You’re a Good man Charlie Brown, featuring during the first week of November, the second through the fifth.

The play was directed for the first time by the new drama teacher, Abby Garn. It was co-directed by Laura Adams, and choreographed by Karma Albrecht. Additional friends helped with walls, scenery, sound and lights. Upon entering the auditorium it was immediately clear that a lot of work, time and thought went into this play.

Lucy is helping Charlie list all of his struggles. The former is played by Shelby F., the latter by Mark T.

Charlie Brown, You’ve Done it Again

The play started and we were met by an extraordinary cast of PHS students. Mark T. played the classic character Charlie Brown, and a large cast performed the many other lovable characters we know and root for. Surprisingly this play was also a musical, which only added to the fun.

Linus and his beloved blanket perform a dance number called “My Blanket and Me.” Linus is played by Orin H. and the blanket is played by Shylee K.
Snoopy and Woodstock enjoying their carefree life atop of the dog house. Life is “Not bad at all,” with Ronan M. as Snoopy and Sophie F. as Woodstock.

Another thing that was surprising was the amount of students that had come to take part in the play this year. This large cast brought the stage to life with their presence and energy. As always a few of the students shared a part and were on every other night, giving the play a different set of people to go see and enjoy.

What also added to the play was the audience. The past few years of COVID have made it hard for families to come and make outings like this. This year the seats were full and the audience members were just excited to be there! Sometimes simple things like that can raise the experience to the next level.

The amazing directing, great cast, and well-executed lights and sound made the play amazing to watch. This play was a success, and Panguitch High School is looking forward to future productions as well.
