This year has been an eventful one, full of highs and lows, but one of the highs is just about to begin. Starting on September 30, 2023, the annual 1A State Baseball Tournament commences. With the RPI out and brackets set for the tournament, the 1A high schools and communities are bursting with energy for the games to begin.
This year the first round of state will be at Spanish Fork. Games 1-4, or the upper half of the bracket will be held at the Nelson Field, while the games 5-8, or the lower half of the bracket will be held at the Spanish Fork Sports Park. For the first round games will be going from 9:30 a.m. all the way until 4:15 p.m.
Quarterfinals will be on Tuesday, October 3 at Snow Canyon. Games will be at 9:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and the last game will start at 4:15 p.m. Make sure to show up and to be loud and proud!
For the Semifinals and Finals, the location will be different than it has been in the last previous years. This year the Semifinals and Final game will be held at the Gates Field at Kearns High School. Semifinals start on Friday, October 6 at 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The championship game will be Saturday, October 7 at 12:30 pm.
