The season of beautiful changing leaves and the spooky Halloween theme is finally here. Fall is a season of pumpkin and apple cider smells as well as cuddling up in a blanket and just watching the leaves fall from the trees. Below are ten fall bucket list items to do to soak the rest of the fall season in and have a little fun doing so!

  1. Get a friend, white bedding sheet or blanket that you are okay to get dirty, and some sunglasses. Go find the prettiest yellow, orange or red trees and have a ghost photo shoot!
  2. Go to a pumpkin patch and then carve or paint pumpkins with your friends.
  3. Find an old picture at Deseret Industries or get a blank sheet of paper and paint your own spooky setting with some ghosts, ghouls or a Thanksgiving feast.
  4. Go to a thrift store and thrift the cutest fall outfits, cozy sweaters and pants.
  5. Have a Fall/Halloween movie marathon.
    • Watch Gilmore Girls, Coraline, Hocus Pocus, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, Goosebumps, Ghost Busters.
  6. Go to a corn maze or haunted corn maze.
  7. Go on a drive or hike or ride up the canyon and see the leaves change.
  8. Have a picnic in the canyon and jump into a pile of colorful leaves.
  9. Make homemade cider and ghost/pumpkin cookies.
  10. Go to a graveyard at night (but be respectful).

“Go, sit upon the lofty hill, And turn your eyes around, Where waving woods and waters wild Do hymn an autumn sound. The summer sun is faint on them — The summer flowers depart — Sit still — as all transform’d to stone, Except your musing heart.” – Elizabeth Barrett Browning, The Autumn
