Good morning Byway readers. Happy Presidents’ Day! Here are some significant events happening this week:
- Monday, February 17 — Presidents’ Day and Bryce Canyon Winter Festival wraps up.
- Tuesday-Saturday, February 18-February 22 — Gary Leffew Bull Riding School at the Triple C Arena in Panguitch. Contact Lance Miller for more information.
- Wednesday, February 19 — Rural County Career Fair.
- Thursday, February 20 — The last day of the Ruby’s Inn Ice Ribbon.
- Saturday, February 22 — State basketball play-ins begin at home sites. Panguitch won both region basketball championships. See the region bracket here. It is also the grand opening of The Loop, a new business in Escalante and a Chizle’s Ranch Sorting day in Panguitch.
- Sunday, February 23 — Marysvale ice cream social at the Community Center at 7:00 p.m.
Weather:
The National Weather Service shows mostly sunny weather today at Bryce Canyon Airport with a high near 47 degrees Fahrenheit and a low around 17 tonight. Tuesday and Wednesday the weather is similar.
Thursday there is a 30 percent chance of snow after 11 a.m., while Friday and Saturday are mostly sunny and clear, with a high Saturday of 48.
