Monday News Plonk: Groundhog Day and State Wrestling

Hello Byway readers! It’s now February, and it looks like the Groundhog saw his shadow, so we’ve got six more weeks of winter. Here are some significant events happening this week:

  • Friday and Saturday, February 7 and 8 — State wrestling tournament at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield. Read about region wrestling here.
  • Sunday, February 9 — Super Bowl Sunday. The Kansas City Chiefs are in the Super Bowl again, playing the Philadelphia Eagles.

Weather: 

The National Weather Service shows mostly cloudy weather today at Bryce Canyon Airport with a high near 57 degrees Fahrenheit, and a low around 36 tonight.

Tuesday will be pretty similar weather, but sunny and breezy with a high of 53 and a low of 32.

Friday and Saturday, there is a slight chance of snow.
