State Baseball Recap
The state baseball quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals were on October 10-12 at Kearns High School.
The final games came down to three very competent teams: Piute, Bryce Valley, and Panguitch. The final game was Panguitch versus Piute.
“My expectations going into state were kinda wary,” said Blake Dalton, a junior and team captain for the T-Birds. “I didn’t expect us to make it as far as we did, but I had faith we could do it.”
State Mountain Biking Recap
The state mountain biking race was on October 19 at the Three Peaks Trail System in Cedar City.
The race almost got snowed out.
“I’m just happy that we were able to have state,” said Kadee Harland, one of the seniors on Panguitch’s team. After hearing about the first day being canceled, the team was worried they would not be able to get on the track the next day. In the end, all the seniors got to race.
State Cross Country Recap
The state cross country meet was on October 29 at Sugar House Park in Salt Lake City.
The Panguitch girls team took their fifth straight state championship.
At state you have so many people cheering for you, even tons of people you don’t know. “That was pretty cool hearing everyone cheer you on,” said junior Brooke Albrecht, the first place runner from Panguitch. “It gave me more confidence.”
State Volleyball Recap
The state volleyball quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals are on November 1-2 at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.
Panguitch won the championship against Manila three sets to zero. The tournament was marked by the group of seniors’ determination to have fun playing their last games together.

Panguitch High School
“With both volleyball and baseball over halfway through the season, both are number one in the state with a lot of success.
