This is an old news article from a previous year. The memes in this article are from the October 2023 general conference. To see the memes from October 2024, go to A General Conference Meme Recap: October 2024 Version.
Last Saturday and Sunday the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held its 193rd annual general conference. For many, watching the church’s general conference can be spiritually renewing, but it can also be fairly overwhelming.
For this reason, church leaders encourage members to review the talks over the coming months leading up to the next general conference. Now, a week after the conference, I have gathered some of the best materials I can think of to quickly recap any experience and get you started: memes.
General Conference Memes
The following are just a small helping of what I consider the most relevant and even enriching memes from general conference this year, referencing talks by President Russell M. Nelson, General Young Women President Emily Belle Freeman, Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, M. acting President Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and Elder Robert M. Daines of the Seventy.
Quotes
Of course, the church and many other sources always do a great job of gleaning the best quotes from each of the speakers during general conference. Here are just a few of those.
Threads
Finally, these are some quick reactions from people on Threads.
While general conference memes certainly do not encompass a full picture of the entire conference, they can help it feel more real and manageable. Memes can be a good starting point. Full talks can be found on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
Happy studying!
