The 1A state speech and debate tournaments took place at Ogden High School on March 17-18. Bryce Valley took home first place for the first time ever, an honor that the coaches believed had been a long time coming.
It was a long two days of arguing. Saturday was especially long, starting early in the morning, and ending in the evening, but I think most debate students would tell you it was worth it.

Overall Team Placings at Speech and Debate
The team placings were as follows:
- Bryce Valley
- Intermountain Christian
- Panguitch
Bryce Valley was able to win with just two points over Intermountain Christian.
