Winners of the 2024 Circleville Pole Decorating Contest

The top three winners of the Circleville pole decorating contest were announced Tuesday.

The first place prize is a $50 gift card. The other two prizes are Halloween decorations (to use in next year’s decorating, perhaps?).

Winners

Out of all the creative main street decorators, these were the top three winners:

  • 1st Place: Janet May
  • 2nd Place: Kim Lott
  • 3rd Place: Becky Robinson

Janet crafted an impressive spiderweb almost reaching to the flag that is arguably one of the tallest decorations on the street.

Kim’s decorations, while not as tall, certainly had the most pieces, busy with polka-dot pumpkins, gourds, and cheery yellow sunflowers.

Becky Robinson, of course, as the creator of the contest, captured the season’s spirit of bright colors and fall leaves.

The contest is helping to bring the small town streets alive for the holiday season, and Mayor Kristi Westwood is very happy with the result. “We ended up with fourteen decorated poles and Main Street looks awesome,” she said.

And the locals seem happy too. “We have had a lot of comments from people who enjoyed the decoration and feel like it was a success,” said Kristi.

Now, Circleville is getting everyone ready to think of their ideas for Christmas.
