To be frank, we wouldn’t be alive without agriculture. Agriculture is the domestic cultivation of plants and animals for various purposes. It is one of the most fundamental practices of the human race.
Agriculture is the very foundation, the bedrock, of society. It is what allows us to live and flourish as a nation. It is the very basis on which we survive, strengthen our bodies, and ultimately function as living creatures of flesh and blood.
Follow me through this page of inspiration and intellectual beauty, the epitome of knowledge itself*—where we will explore mankind’s first big step towards civilization and the immersion into the infinite sea of possibilities and endless opportunity. Let your mind expand into the horizon and comprehend the astronomical beauty of this great and pure knowledge as numerous as the stars in the sky. Follow me and you will see.
As we all know, we need food to survive. It has been one of the primary struggles of our existence since the birth of humanity. We get the energy we need to survive from consuming plants and animals. Animals also get their energy from plants. Since most of plants’ energy comes from the Sun, we ultimately are fueled by the Sun itself.
This cycle of energy is what we rely on to fulfill our primal demand for energy. Because we cannot harvest this solar energy directly from the Sun, we must rely on other organisms that can accomplish this necessary step—the first of which, is plants.
Plants have the incredible ability to convert raw sunlight straight into nicely packaged up energy, which is stored in various ways. We can access this energy through the digestion of the plants’ flesh, allowing us to metabolize the ATP molecules, releasing the precious energy held captive within. In addition, animals are like us: they consume plants too. But we can also consume animals, creating an absolutely delectable alternative to plants.
This all sounds pretty great, right? No. Finding plants and animals to consume takes a ton of effort, and it usually turns out FRUITless unless you spend every excruciating hour of your entire life searching frantically for little bits and pieces of sustenance to supply you with the living energy you so need. That’s where agriculture comes into play.
Agriculture is the process of raising and domesticating plants and animals for our consumption. This includes studying, mainly through experience, how to best care for the plants and animals. After learning how to care for them and doing so, we kill them.
This is done by planting them at the right time of year, providing the necessary quantity of water, and then harvesting their offspring. Or if it’s animals we’re talking about, you just feed them ‘till their fat, then chop their head off. Simple! This may seem counterproductive considering you just put all that effort into keeping them alive, just for them to die. It’s not. Not only are they bigger and producing significantly more food, you can also raise their children and repeat the endless cycle of death.
Agriculture is fun, it is absolutely essential, but most importantly: it is empowering to our society. With agriculture, we can siphon the seemingly useless resources straight out of mother nature herself, and transform it into living, tangible flesh just begging us to consume it and fill us with the sweet nectar of possibilities.
With agriculture, we can turn away from the depressing repetition of the hunting and gathering of our unfortunate, impoverished ancestors, and head toward a richer, brighter future with new horizons. Yesterday, you didn’t know anything. Today, you know everything!
Yesterday, you assumed agriculture wasn’t needed. Today, well, you discovered that it is the most fundamentally important aspect of our society, and without it we would still be sucking on rocks. I invite you to go out into the world and discover hope. Hope of success, hope of freedom, hope of overcoming the restricting chains brought down upon you by your very own mentality. Discover freedom. Discover agriculture.
