As wintertime makes its annual debut, leaving the house becomes far less appealing. The harsh winds and icy sidewalks often make our normal daily routine much harder, and inevitably, much colder. Whether it be starting your car fifteen minutes in advance, adding a few extra layers to your outfit, or leaving early to get good parking, changes must be made.
So in the midst of wintertime chaos, add some simplicity to your schedule to create a balance! In order to do this, focus first on one thing that we all do and enjoy: eating. Below are some of my favorite air fryer recipes that require little effort and time, but always bring a delicious result.
Air Fryer Steaks
4 (5 oz.) filet mignon (or steak of choice)
1 package of bacon
steak seasoning of choice
1 stick of butter
minced garlic
rosemary
ground thyme
* Preheat your air fryer to 380°, then wrap the edge of each steak in bacon and secure with a toothpick. Melt your butter and add the garlic, rosemary, and thyme to taste. Then, brush the mixture on both sides of the steak before adding steak seasoning. Place in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes, flipping after 6 minutes. Brush both sides with butter before serving.

Season the chicken with ½ tsp. of salt and pepper, 1 tsp. of paprika, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Breakfast Pigshots
– @ninjacue on Instagram
1 package of smoked sausage
1 package of bacon (cut in half)
2 eggs
1 bag of shredded cheddar cheese
diced chives
salt + pepper
hot sauce (optional)
* Preheat the air fryer to 400° first. Slice up your smoked sausage and wrap each piece in bacon and secure with a toothpick (resembling a shot glass). Place into the air fryer for 10 minutes. While they are cooking, mix together your eggs, shredded cheese, salt and pepper. After 10 minutes, fill each “pigshot” with the egg mixture and top with chives before putting them back into the air fryer for 5 minutes. This is the perfect breakfast for on-the-go kids!
