This is the fifth year in a row Bryce Valley High School has performed a major Broadway musical. Each year the Bryce Valley students have upped their game. The plays are becoming more complex and challenging. That said, the theater students are doing a remarkable job meeting those difficulties by bringing first class talent to the stage.
The set is being designed and built by the incomparable Troy and Ethan Willis. Choreography by Holly, and Musical and Choral arrangements by Nathan. Our friend Andy Robinson is once more returning to help create the magic through his sound talents.
FIDDLER ON THE ROOF is, without a doubt, one of the most loved Broadway musicals of all time! In the little village of Anatevka, Tevye, a poor dairyman, tries to instill in his daughters the traditions of his tight-knit community in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Tsarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF has touched audiences around the world with its humor, warmth and honesty. The universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy, and sadness.
With songs like Matchmaker and Sunrise-Sunset the play is sure to be a hit with audiences.
Come laugh and cry and support wonderful kids telling a story through script and song. You’ll be glad you did.
