Monday News Plonk: Little Britches and Trump Congress Address

Good morning Byway readers. Happy March! It’s the season of spring, leprechauns, and hopefully just a little more snow and rain. Here are some significant events happening this week:

  • Tuesday, March 4 — President Donald Trump delivers his joint address to Congress at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time (7:00 p.m. Mountain Time). It is his first major address of his second term. Watch it live here.
  • Thursday, March 6 — First softball game of the season: Panguitch vs Water Canyon at 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. See the schedule here.
  • Friday-Saturday, March 7-8 — First Little Britches rodeo in Panguitch. Contact Justin Cooper for more information.
  • Sunday, March 9 — Daylight Savings Time. Don’t forget to turn your clocks an hour forward!

Weather: 

The National Weather Service shows snowy and breezy weather today at Bryce Canyon Airport with a high near 35 degrees Fahrenheit and a low around 21 tonight. There is an 80% chance of precipitation during the day, with snow accumulation of less than one inch. Then the chance drops to 40% tonight, mainly before 8 p.m.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny and clear.

Wednesday through Friday there is still a chance of snow most days. Snow chances die down over the weekend though. Sunday has the high near 46 degrees.
