Just in front of the arch, a Garfield County Sheriff truck veers off the road presumably on a rescue. At the bottom, in cursive, is written, "Merry Christmas 2024."

Garfield Sheriff Declares Three Winners for Christmas Card Art

In their annual tradition, the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office selected three designs for this year’s Christmas card. Artwork was selected from submissions received from Panguitch, Bryce Valley, Escalante and Boulder elementaries.

This year’s winning designs were drawn by 5th graders Paisley C. in Escalante, Maya M. in Bryce Valley, and Maddie F. in Panguitch.

Winners were selected by the Garfield County Commissioners and announced on December 11. Their artwork was printed in three different versions of the office’s Christmas card and each winner also received an award. That award included a Christmas stocking full of candy, $20 and Christmas coloring books.

The Byway

In the distance, a star shines a beam toward the earth from a purple and blue striped sky. A cursive message reads "Have Yourself a Merry Christmas."
