2024 was a year of retirements and changes at Garfield Memorial Hospital in Panguitch. Along with Dr. Birch retiring earlier in the year, several ladies who have worked in the medical field retired in December.
On Friday, December 13, the hospital celebrated four caregivers who have worked their entire careers at the Garfield Memorial Hospital.
Carla Ramsey retired after 38 years with Intermountain Health. Carla started out working in the clinic and later moved to the HR position. She was an administrative assistant and could be seen helping wherever she was needed.
Lynette Sawyer worked for 29 years at Intermountain, always giving service to patients.
Sheri Wilcock retired after working for 26 years at the care center.
Linda Miller retired after being a stable fixture you could meet in the office, giving 17 years of service.
On that Friday, a celebration was held at the Garfield County Nursing Home Day Room from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Refreshments were served to friends and family who came to celebrate with these ladies. “We are so grateful for these four women who have worked with compassion and dedication for our Garfield County communities,” said Hospital Administrator DeAnn Brown.
Thank you and happy retirement from Garfield Memorial Hospital!
