Something I like to do in my free time is wrestling because it is fun. By the way, wrestling is the oldest sport. [In November], I started wrestling in Wayne County. I think you should try wrestling because I think you would like it.

Wrestling is fun because you can win medals, but if you lose you get a different place. You can pin your opponent and win a trophy unless your opponent pins you first. You can go to tournaments. I like winning! Winning feels great and at the end of the match you get your hand raised and then you shake your opponent’s and coach’s hand. Wrestling makes you feel good about yourself.

I had fun wrestling at the state tournament because I took second place when I was in kindergarten. I enjoy going to practice to see my friends and to learn moves. You make good friends.

My dad is my coach, and he is mean like the Grinch! But I like that he pushes me to be mentally and physically tough. You have to learn really hard moves in order to win. You have to eat well to either gain or lose weight. Part of wrestling is working out hard and practicing every day.

You can get a scholarship to wrestle in college. I hope to achieve that! My goal is to be a professional wrestler. To do that, I would need to go to a lot of tournaments. I need to wrestle really hard, and be really competitive. It is important to be really fast. My goal is to go to the Olympics and compete.

Wrestling is a fun activity and sport because I get to show how fast I am. Winning is really fun because you become a champion, but losing is not great. Wrestling is hard because your opponent can win sometimes. Wrestling is a great activity to do in your free time. If you decide not to try wrestling, maybe you should come and watch a match. But, if I saw you in person, I would say to you, “You should wrestle!”
