We asked students from Bryce Valley Elementary to tell their Christmas stories including traditions, memories and fiction. What they gave us didn’t disappoint! Read Christmas stories from Drey, Mollie, Maya, Shynoah, Korver, Dahlia, Brig and Izzy here:

A Christmas Surprise

– by Drey M. (8) Henrieville

It’s time to go to bed. It took me awhile to go to sleep. But when I did and woke up in the morning, there were presents under the tree! On the couch my picture was gone, cookie crumbs, “No more milk!” I went to my mom’s room and I jumped on here and said, “Santa came!”

Hi! I will tell you my pickle tradition—what I do every December. So each morning we wake up and we go looking for the pickle that my mom and dad hide in the Christmas tree over night. Whoever finds it first out of me or my siblings gets a candy cane early in the morning. We look for it each morning until Christmas.

Today was Christmas! My mom came home from work. Then my brother and I opened presents! I got a piano, some clothes, a doll and a new room! After my mom went back to work, I went to my new room and set my stuff into my room. I started to play on my piano. Later we had lunch and dinner and that was my Christmas Day!

Once there was a girl and a boy. They were siblings and wished they had an elf, so their parents bought them on elf. The next morning they saw an elf. “ELF!” they yelled. They were so happy. They named it Chrissy, which was an okay name.

The kids tried to touch the elf but the mom yelled, “STOP!” They said, “Why?” The mom said “Because if you touch the elf, it’s gonna lose its magic.” So they didn’t touch it.

Until one day the boy woke up and didn’t listen to his mother and he touched it. His sister saw him, she yelled, “Mom!” She told mom everything. She wasn’t mad but she said another elf needs to give its magic to him. She went upstairs to bed.

The kids stayed by the stairs. After one minute they saw glitter glowing. They kept looking at the glitter. They saw another elf, which touched Chrissy and then left with another elf. He was still happy. They named the other elf, it was a girl, the name was Molly.

I have an elf name Elfettia. She is the sweetest elf in the whole wide world but she is a little naughty. Sometimes she take a lot of stuff from us but she brings it back.

My Family and I at Christmas

by Dahlia B. (9) Cannonville

We ate a dinner on the day before Christmas and then we opened the presents that my family got for us. I got an OMG Doll one time. Then I got some furry socks, candy and a Nintendo Switch. Then I went to bed and when I woke up I was the first one to wake up. I woke my sister up too and we woke up my mom and dad. I got chocolate coal and some pop-tubes. Christmas is my favorite holiday!

Once there were two elves. One was joyful, and the other was jealous. The jealous one’s name was Alice, and the joyful one’s name was Fefe. Fefe had powers. Alice did not. Alice tried to steal Fefe’s powers but Fefe did not let this happen.

While Fefe was on scout duty, Alice got this magical orb and pointed it at Fefe and stole her powers. Fefe tried to fly but she couldn’t. Then she realized her powers were gone. While Fefe was trying to see who stole her powers, Alice pointed the orb at herself and got Fefe’s powers.

Fefe went to Alice’s house and opened the door and saw Alice flying and now Fefe was mad. Fefe threw a rock at Alice and missed. She threw another rock and missed. Then Fefe took the orb and got her powers back and then Alice was sorry and the two of them became best friends forever. The end.

Christmas Is Jesus’ Birthday

by Izzy C. (9) Tropic –

I’m happy for Jesus because we celebrate Jesus. At church we sing songs about Jesus. On Christmas Day is Jesus’ birthday. At my grandma’s house we celebrate about Jesus.

There’s a angle holing a star, Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, Wisemen and Samuel. We throw foil rocks and we use a wood crib. My granpa told a story about Samuel. Then we play left to right then we open presents.
