In September a St. George News article chronicled the story of a crash that resulted in Andrea Tanzella’s dog, Beauregard or Beau, running away. Today Andrea still hopes to find her dog, who was lost a little over 6 weeks ago.
A friend told The Byway that Andrea “has been driving from Phoenix to the Escalante area every weekend or anytime she has a few days free to look for him and put up flyers.”
So far she has been unsuccessful. She still hopes, however, that Beau either has been found and unidentified, or will be found in the next while as a result of her efforts, combined with help from the community in Southern Utah.
Beau is a good-natured, 5-year-old silver lab who loves his human — and she loves him!
The GoFundMe account* created to cover expenses of looking for Beau described him in “a couple of important things to note:
- “It is unknown if Beauregard sustained any injuries in the accident, and could be hurt.
- “Beauregard walks with a limp from his rear right leg as a result of a prior injury.
- “Beauregard is about 80 pounds & microchipped.
- “If seen or found: do not chase! Please contact the fundraiser administrator directly with any information that could safely bring Beau home.”
Beau may be near GPS coordinates 37°44’51.7″N 110°54’31.7″W on the Burr Trail road between Escalante and Phoenix. This is where the crash occurred and where they were when he originally ran away.
Please call (480) 586-7880 with any information about Beau’s disappearance or whereabouts.
