This year the sign up deadlines to run for elected office in the State of Utah were changed to March 4, leaving many candidates along the Byway scrambling to meet the deadline. These are the candidates who have signed up to run for local public offices in Piute, Garfield and Wayne counties.

All of the candidates running for local offices are vying for four year terms which will be voted on November 8, 2022. Ballots will be mailed out as has been done in the past and drop boxes are located at each of the county courthouses. Some counties will offer voting in person by surrendering the ballot mailed to you. Elected candidates will take office on January 1, 2023.
